Art print
We've been doing a lot of art prints over the past couple of month. I really love this media, something about the technicality of carving and then printing, is very meditative.
The other really nice thing about this is being able to preduce multipal images, and share them with others. Some of the prints in this page were made for art swaps and some of them just for fun, but we still have copies from all of them, so if you want to buy \ swap for any of them, write us an e-mail.

RamblersNed made this print after a really nice car show we've seen, the image is based on a photo he took in the show. It's his first attempt at 2 plate printing and it came out really great.

Self Portrait Musterbating with FlowerThis print was made for Printmaker swap and exhibition. It's going to be exhibitied in Bonita Springs, Florida. The Image is based on a photo that Ned took of me, and a piece of origami paper.

Emilia and DargonfliesMade for a Baren Forum swap, I was on the waiting list for this one and as I was working on this page, I got an e-mail telling me I'm in! (which is good cause I made about 50 prints out of this one. The image is based on a photo shoot Ned had a while ago.

Dia de los MuertosA series of hand painted double skeleton prints I made for the "day of the dead" exhibition on Altered Esthetics gallery in Minneapolis. This is my favorit print by myself! I found a piece of really narrow hard ply wood in the street and it was waiting in the studio for a couple of months before I decided to use it for this show. It took about 5 days to carve, and I'm really happy with the result. It's about 4"X40" on a slightly larger page. |

BoundThis is the first art print exchange that I took part in, I already got a beautiful portfolio of 10 prints from other artists. The cool thing about this one is that the wonderful people in Print Sero Studios who orgenized this manage to get 7 different venues to exhibit in, this print is going to be exhibited in Washington, Florida, Wisconsin, Buffalo NY, Oragon and Denmark. It's 4"X6" on a slightly larger paper and I printed it on old page from a book, red and black. |
