Day 7
I didn't think I was going to do a day 7, it was a really busy one and I didn't have time to write about it as it was happening, but I'm writing this from day 12, we are waiting at the Harley Davodson store in Kitty Hawk for olga to have her 5000 mile check up and so, since I had a few free hours I decided to update this page.
This day was Ned's birthday and though we really didn't try to time it too bad, we made it happened! we were in the tail of the dragon ride on the smokey mountains and we rode it twice! actually that was a mistake - we thought we already did it and decided to spend the night in the motorcycle resort in Deal's gap, but then, as we decided to go search for a restaurant that would be open after 7:00 PM, we somehow stumbled upon the real tail of the dragon road. It was beautiful and pretty difficult, with a million curves.
Then, as we somehow crossed the state into Tennessee, we realized - no restaurants, gas stations or anything food oriented in site and we went back, going on the same root at night. It was really scary, but we saw a fox! and that was cool. Also, when we got back, Ned's helmet, jacket, pants and shirt as well as olga's front light were covered by numerous dead bugs. Some of them are still there.
