This restaurant is great for their amazing food, huge portions and amazing weekend brunch, but even more then all those things, we love it for the really friendly staff and owner, going there is like hanging out in the apartment of really friendly friends with a huge plasma TV.

Mostly a dessert place though their food is also pretty amazing. We fell in love with it right away, partly for it's name and partly for the beautiful setting and mostly for the really good sugary treats. The people that work there are wonderful, each of them is friendly and cool to hang out with in a different way. We plan to have our next Passover sadder on that big community table.

Urban Rustic

The guys from Lodge just opened this amazing farm fresh market, with a restaurant. We've been doing most of our grocery shopping, and a lot of eating there. Dan, who is one of the owners, is a former movie set designer/builder. He took a huge open space, and gave it warmth with fantastic contemporary woodwork and design. It is very rustic and very urban, just like Dan. We really enjoy this place.

Also, a special honorary mention is due to April, the especially nice girl who work there for making Ned discover the joy of the famous April's "shot of Vanilla mint tea with steamed milk" and for making both of us some weird Ginger and stuff tea when we were sick, and for just being awesome in general.

We both Love Egg. We designed the first tattoos we got together here, the first time Aya visited.

They have changed the walls from black to white, but the food is as fresh and amazing as ever. We wound up having dinner there a month ago, they just started serving dinner, and it was amazing! There food is Southern/Soul, but my mother had no problem finding food to fit her low cholesterol diet. The Blues/Soul music playing in the background always hits the spot.

Coffee Shop

We are in coffee shop about twice a week, it's really the only place in Union Square area that we can have a casual meal in or just some coffee or tea on the way to other places. That place have 2 very important features, the first is a serviceable bathroom we use whenever we need even if we don't eat there (Ned knows everybody who work there and they are always happy to see us, even if it's just for a quick pee) and the most gorgeous women on staff, it's honestly like sitting on a fashion show and looking at a mass of extra beautiful models.

Probably the best food Williamsburg has to offer, it's a little pricier and more formal then what we are used to on a day to day basis but for a fancy meal, this is a really great spot. Ned's parents like it so much, they started going there without us. It get pretty crowded and noisy in the late hours, so early dinner is the best. their menu have 4 things on it and then the waiter comes to your table and tells you about another 20 amazing special and write them all on the paper table cloth.

One of the coolest thing about Diner is that they started ageing their own meat and so some evening, they have a selection of stakes that are just the best meat I ever eat.

We discovered Aurora by almost accident, we were trying to have brunch in Relish and there was a 45 minute waiting list, so we just went on, just around the corner, there's this cool Italian place that always looked to fancy to eat in. But - it's not! it's actually very cozy and nice, and the food is great. Also, they have a back yard that's closed and heated even in the winter, and when it's cold and sunny outside it's so nice to sit there and imagine it's almost summer.
