We met online being physically, half way across the world from one another. We spend almost a year, together in mind but afar in body, until I moved to New York and now we live together in an amazing apartment in Brooklyn, make art and shoot together and keep expanding into new and exciting ways of self expression.

When I started taking pictures, it was a quick way for me to feel close to people. I could ask any questions, tell people what to do, be very intimate, then never see them again. A one night stand in an afternoon with a camera between us. I got very good at connecting with strangers, and making them feel comfortable in front of my camera.
After growing up a bit, and getting to know myself a little better, I don't need those quick fix connections any more. I am married to my favorite person in the world, and not running away from Me any more.
I Love bringing myself to the people I shoot now. Creating a safe place were we can all be and explore ourselves, and our limits, physically and emotionally. I enjoy the friendships that have come from shoots that Aya and I have done together. Beauty is the magic of connecting, and feeling connected.
The first 3 things that you got to know about me to understand the art I make are: I'm a woman, I'm an immigrant and feelings are probably more important to me then anything else. I think those things come in my art now, whether I'm doing a painting or designing a web site or binding a book.
Why do I make art? Because I like keeping my hands busy, and because it just comes out uncontrollably and by now, if I don't draw for a few days my hands start to itch. Also because I like showing it, I didn't before, but now, a bit past of the enjoyment I get out of making things is having an audience, and also because it's one of the only things that I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I'm good at.
I like making a lot of different things and try different methods and means of expression, I get bored easily.
